You believe in yourself from the inside out....
These are first steps to going after your dreams.

Who Do You Admire?

  • Looking to role models and heroes can also help you to decide where you want to go in life. How to get there - that will to you come to over time.
  • Do you think your parent's life sounds interesting? Or do you want something totally different for yourself?
  • Are you more hyped up by the thought of playing hockey or basketball, or what you could do with a new computer system?
  • Doing well in something you really enjoy - that's a real boost to your energy and confidence! It's also a good way to make lasting friendships with people who are into the same kinds of things you are.

Setting Goals

Here's where you turn one or more of your dreams into goals you want to accomplish...

Short Terms Goals:
  • Involve only a few steps.
  • Are reachable in a short time.
  • Have smaller rewards.
  • May not seem important.
  • Are steps to reaching bigger, more exciting goals.
An example of a short-term goal is: getting your homework done in an hour or two.

Long Terms Goals:
  • Involve many steps and multiple decisions.
  • Take determination and hard work.
  • Have bigger rewards when you reach them.
An example of a long-term goal is: graduating from high school and getting accepted to college or university.
